Nonrule Policies

A nonrule policy document is intended to clarify for the public an agency's interpretation of a statute or rule. It is not intended to have the effect of law, nor is not related solely to internal agency organization. Nonrule policy documents are authorized by Ind. Code § 4-22-7-7(a)(5).  A nonrule policy document becomes effective upon adoption and shall be sent for publication in the Indiana Register.
