Anthony Swinger was appointed to the Commission on Jan. 12, 2026, by Governor Mike Braun.
Prior to his appointment, Commissioner Swinger spent 25 years with the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC). From 2022 until early 2026, he served as the OUCC’s Executive Director of Technical Operations, overseeing the agency’s electric, external affairs, natural gas, and water/wastewater divisions.
Commissioner Swinger holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees, respectively, from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and the University of Illinois at Springfield. He and his family reside in Indianapolis.
