IOT Earns Top Workplace Recognition

IOT is being recognized by the IndyStar as one of central Indiana’s Top Places to Work in 2024. Additionally, Energage, a research company working with the IndyStar, placed IOT in its Top Workplaces Culture Excellence category for Work-Life Flexibility.

This recognition is a testament to IOT's dedication to not only advancing the state's technology infrastructure and developing business solutions for agencies but also ensuring its team members are valued, supported, and empowered. The award, determined by an independent, anonymous survey of IOT employees, evaluates several aspects of workplace culture including alignment, execution, and connection.

"Being named one of the Top Places to Work is a tremendous honor for us," said Tracy Barnes, the State’s Chief Information Officer and the Director of the Indiana Office of Technology. "It reflects our ongoing commitment to creating an environment where our employees feel engaged, appreciated, and motivated to excel. Our team is at the heart of everything we do, and this recognition underscores the positive culture we've cultivated together."

IOT has implemented several strategic efforts aimed at promoting work-life balance, professional development, and employee well-being. One significant element of this approach is the State Earn and Learn (SEAL) IT program, a work-based learning initiative sponsored by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. SEAL IT provides on-the-job paid training targeting those interested in a career change to IT, and nearly 60 people have gone through - or are actively in - the program since 2020.

IOT is joined by the Indiana Department of Revenue and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation in earning Top Workplace distinction from the IndyStar.

Hemant Jain named to CISOs Connect's Top 100

Jain

IOT Chief Information Security Officer Hemant Jain has been selected as one of CISOs Connect's Top 100 CISOs (C100) 2024.

“This honor pays tribute to the remarkable work you do as business leaders for your organizations under incredibly demanding conditions. But equally important, it reflects the industry's gratitude for your devotion to sharing your expertise with others on behalf of the cybersecurity community at large. You should be very proud of this leading industry recognition, honoring pre-eminent leaders across North America.” - CISOs Connect.

The C100 recognizes singular professional achievements in a role that has become exceptionally dynamic and demanding.
