The Heritage Keepers, 3rd grade students of Delphi Elementary School, have planned and constructed replicas of parts of the Michigan Road, showing planks, logs, and tollbooths. Carroll County is fortunate in having two remaining covered bridges, and both are still in use. The children will also build replicas of a covered bridge. These items will be on display during the 2016 Bicentennial and will serve as way to teach students about the early ways of travel and the labor and ingenuity that went into planning and building a better Indiana.
