This book project compiles A Brief History of Star Roller Mills & Earl Haun in Burlington, Indiana. The unique Spanish style house and grounds were created by the miller, Earl Haun in the 1930’s. Earl’s grandson, Myron Brubaker, shared his memories of his granddad and his business and home. The home, mill and water grounds attracted numerous tourists from the lower 48 states until the late 1940’s. Myron Brubaker, Karina Fauble and James Rich researched and compiled by the book. The book includes Haun Family heritage, mill history, mill operations, Earl Haun & the history of electricity in Burlington, Myron’s memories and Earl Haun’s Spanish mansion and restoration. Earl sold the Star Roller Mills which passed through a few owners and was removed by 1972. The house was nominated and won the 2015 Old Settler’s Heritage Award during 2015 Carroll County Old Settlers Meeting.
