Moving On

Moving On

Moving On is an evidence-based and gender responsive curriculum that helps women mobilize and develop personal and social resources to reduce the risk of future involvement with the criminal justice system. The program aims at increasing the health and well-being of women, their families, and the community while recognizing the centrality of relationships in facilitating the personal growth and development of women. The program is based on the premise that all women have strengths and resources that can be mobilized to solve problems.

Expectations: All participants are expected to attend the program once a week and should arrive 15 minutes early. No disruptions will be allowed, and there will be no more than 2 absences for the duration of the enrollment. Any rude or disrespectful behavior towards other participants or the facilitator may result in removal and discharge from the program. Group discussion is necessary and participants are expected to be attentive and engaged. No one will be permitted in group if they are suspected to be under the influence of a drug, alcohol or mood altering drug.

Classes are held at Shelby County Community Corrections, 10 W. Polk Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176 on Saturday 10AM-12PM.
