After hearing from students, parents, and teachers about classroom materials, curricula, and policies they find objectionable, the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) launched the Eyes on Education portal.
This portal is designed to give parents, students, and educators a way to share examples of what is being taught and promoted in schools and to provide transparency for parents and keep Hoosiers informed.
The portal is not intended to trigger legal action against local schools and the Attorney General’s Office does not evaluate submissions for possible legal violations. Whether legal or disciplinary action has been initiated against a particular school or a teacher is a question better directed in the first instance to local school boards, the Indiana Department of Education, and the State Board of Education. This portal can be used to initiate those conversations.
If you are concerned about an issue at your child’s school, we encourage you to contact your school district or school board. They are best positioned to address and resolve concerns directly.
Upon submission to the portal, someone from our office may contact you for additional information or clarification.
Schools and school corporations are welcome to provide responses to any submissions, which will appear alongside the original submission.
