The Harrison County Jail offers Work Release Programs. Our work release program is provided by an outside source called Sheriff Staffing. The Jail Commander grants the inmate permission to participate in the program based on specific criteria. The inmates are transported to and from work by Sheriff Staffing and must wear a GPS ankle monitor at all times. Each inmate in the program must pay the Sheriff's Department $10 a day to be in the program. The inmate must submit to any alcohol or drug screen as seen fit by the administration. If an inmate breaks any laws while on work release, the privilege is revoked and the inmate is returned to their cell.
