The Harrison County Jail educational programs assist inmates during their incarceration and provide the inmates with an opportunity for self-improvement before returning to the general population of Harrison County, Indiana.
GED (General Education Diploma) Program:
Harrison County Jail partnered with River Valley Resources in 2021 to provide an opportunity for inmates to receive their General Education Diploma. This class helps participants master basic skills in mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, and writing. These classes are offered two times per week to inmates.
