Professional Development Office Intern
Job Description
The Professional Development Office at the Indiana State Library supports the advancement and development of library staff in all Indiana libraries for improved services to the citizens of Indiana. The PDO includes specialists in the areas of programming, children's services, continuing education opportunities, and services available from the Indiana State Library. Professional Development Office Intern duties may include developing and maintaining the ISL Book Club Kits and Story Time Kits, scheduling statewide training sessions, project management, library histories, variety of webinar work including transcription, hosting, and monitoring, variety of trainings, and possible website work.
Qualifications
Indianapolis-based position, but remote duties may be available as well. Library science graduate student preferred. Excellent customer service a must as well as excellent communication skills and organizational skills. Candidate should be interested in methods of training and support in libraries.
