Biographical Note:

Donald M. Ream was born on July 5, 1902, in Huntington, Indiana. He attended Indiana Law School and was admitted to the bar in 1924. Ream moved to Indianapolis in 1926 and received an A.B. degree from Butler University the same year. He married Marilla L. Lemaux in 1929 with whom he had two children. Ream practiced law in Indianapolis and was Marion County deputy prosecuting attorney from 1929 to 1930. He was also involved in the Indiana Historical Society and the Society of Indiana Pioneers. Ream became a research assistant for the Indiana Supreme Court in 1961 and remained there until his death on November 25, 1965.
