Site Assessment & Management

The mission of the Site Assessment & Management (SAM) is to provide support and guidance to INDOT employees, consultants, and contractors in the areas of:

  • Processing, developing, reviewing, and approving Red Flag Investigations, Phase I ESA's and Phase II ESA's for INDOT transportation project development and implementation;
  • Management of the investigation and remediation of INDOT-owned contaminated properties;
  • Hazardous materials management;
  • Hazardous waste management; and
  • Day-to-day guidance as needed
