Legacy Projects > Avon-Washington Township Time Capsule Avon-Washington Township Time Capsule
The Avon-Washington Township Time Capsule is a celebration of Avon, Indiana in 2016. The Avon-Washington Township Public Library is inviting youth organizations, churches, businesses, community organizations, schools, and government entities to participate by providing items from 2016 to put in the time capsule. The time capsule will be showcased at a birthday party for Indiana’s Bicentennial on December 12, 2016. The capsule will be kept in the Avon-Washington Township Public Library Archives and cared for by the local Historian. It will be opened in 50 years and will provide future generations a snapshot of Avon, Indiana in 2016.
