Martin County purchased a very large time capsule, in which we are placing items from 2016. We have a chunk of coal, gypsum, numerous Bicentennial flags, shirts, pins, and literature telling of our celebration. Newspapers, objects from each school, books from our Bicentennial, each school’s year book, flyers of banking information, list of grocery prices, medallion for Martin County torch bearers, and photos. Also included are catfish festival flyers, items from Crane Naval Base, essays from children in contests and much more. Approximately 100 items will be in our time capsule.
