Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016
Legacy Projects > Northeast Indiana Jewish Bicentennial Celebration Weekend Northeast Indiana Jewish Bicentennial Celebration Weekend
We will recognize and celebrate the history of Jews in northeast Indiana with two events: Our Friday night Sabbath service will bring together members of both synagogues in Fort Wayne, led by the rabbis of the two congregations. A Saturday evening celebration will include several forms of entertainment and information, including Jewish music and music of Indiana; a talk on local and area Jewish history from historian Todd Pelfrey; and a slideshow of photos. The evening will include festive refreshments, including Indiana and Israeli wines.
