Legacy Projects > Bison Naming Contest Bison Naming Contest
Students in grades three and four at Greene County’s five elementary schools voted for the name of our county’s bison on Election Day. They were given the choices of Bruno, Bennie and Buff. After all the votes were tallied, Bruno was deemed the winner. Our bison will be painted by the Sculpture Trails Outdoor Museum in Solsberry and placed on the lawn of the county courthouse.
