This education box, containing books, exercises, games and more, is available to educators, home-school families, plain schools and youth organizations who are interested in learning about our native birds. Over 100 years ago, Gene Stratton-Porter wrote and studied the birds of the Limberlost and became known as the Bird Woman. This box is meant to honor her contribution to bird conservation. It is available to be rented from the Limberlost State Historic Site in Geneva. It is also meant to complement our website (limberlostweebly.com), our Birding with Gene Stratton-Porter at Limberlost birding app, Limberlost birding backpack, Chimney Swift Tower, and birding programs.
