The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution have approved our chapter placing a plaque at Old Portland Burying Ground in honor of Indiana’s Bicentennial. This cemetery dates back to the 1840’s. There has never been a plaque officially giving it a name until 2016, where a small metal sign was placed listing all the names the cemetery has had over the years.
