Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016
Legacy Projects > Grandfriends Day – Celebrate Indiana Bicentennial at St. Monica School Grandfriends Day – Celebrate Indiana Bicentennial at St. Monica School
We will provide a set of activities surrounding the exploration of Indiana on an Indiana map to allow students and their special adult friend to work together and get acquainted with resources in Indiana. Each student will have a gift bad for their “grand friend” containing an Indiana map and worksheet to spark exploration of the state. We are asking several high education institutions to donate pens/magnets/school sporting calendars or other items of their choice for inclusion in the gift bag. We are also asking manufacturing facilities and businesses to include an item such as a coupon – students will mark locations of these businesses on the map. Explore the locations of Indiana State Parks and Nature Trust/Preserves and Conservation Areas.
