Legacy Projects > Indiana Public Archaeology Symposium Indiana Public Archaeology Symposium
The Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources, Division of Historic Preservation & Archaeology and the Applied Anthropology Laboratories, Department of Anthropology, Ball State University will be co-hosting the second Indiana Public Archaeology Symposium on August 27 at Ball State University. Presentations will include themes such as public archaeology success stories, unique ways of engaging the community, and how technology is changing the way archaeologists interact with the public. The topics will include how to engage the public in teaching about archaeology and Indiana’s past and are centered on archaeological work done in Indiana, and how that helps to write our state’s history. The event is free and open to the public.
