The sculpture garden on the grounds of the Haan Mansion Museum features a wheelchair-accessible path with over 20 sculptures by contemporary Indiana artists. Sculptures in clay, bronze, limestone, steel and glass include interactive works to engage young visitors. A limestone roliquery with fish carved around the entire ball will leave an impression of fish when rolled in the sand table. Sculptures made from old farm implements are mounted on a wheel that can be turned to view the various forms, including a tractor and an airplane. Several benches offer space for rest and contemplation. The bicentennial will be promoted on promotional materials, signage and web sites. This is a brand new installation for the Bicentennial that will feature all Indiana artists.
