IN*Source’s “Interpreters in the Special Education Field: Building Cultural Bridges” is a course designed to qualify bilingual individuals to interpret between non-English speaking parents and school personnel as they plan a course of study for students with special needs. Participants in this course will gain knowledge about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Article 7 (Indiana’s special education law) and the terminology specific to the field of special education. The Bicentennial logo will be prominently displayed on the IN*source website, on three newsletters, PowerPoint presentations and social media. The Legacy project endorsement will be announced at the workshops.
