Pursuant to Article 5, Section 18 of the Indiana Constitution and Indiana Code, the Governor of the State of Indiana has the authority to fill judicial vacancies as they occur in the state.
Current Vacancies
As a general rule, the application period for judicial openings will be 15—30 days after posting on this website. Notwithstanding, the Governor’s Office may extend the initial application period in its sole judgment or discretion.
Below are two new judicial openings each of which has a 4-week application period, ending Monday, June 3, 2024.
- Marshall County Superior Court No. 2
The Office of Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb is now accepting applications for the position of judge for the Marshall County Superior Court No. 2. Qualified applicants should complete and submit the judicial application found below by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024.
Applications should be sent to the Governor’s Office preferably via email judicialapplications@gov.in.gov or alternatively by hard copy (Governor’s Office, Attn: Joseph R. Heerens, State House Room 206, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204).
- Carroll County Circuit Court
The Office of Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb is now accepting applications for the position of judge for the Carroll County Circuit Court. Qualified applicants should complete and submit the judicial application found below by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024.
