Volunteer tax preparers play a critical role by helping complete Indiana tax returns for low income, elderly and special needs taxpayers at no cost.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, consider getting involved through the IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs or the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program. The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) partners with these organizations to provide training to Hoosier volunteers through our Business Education Outreach Program.
