CPR/First Aid training for Resource Parents
- DCS has recently transitioned to a new vendor for CPR/First Aid training for Resource Parents. Training will now be provided by Zoll Medical, powered by HSI, instead of the Red Cross. The registration process will remain unchanged. Foster Care Specialists will continue to submit registration requests, and RAPT Coordinators will register participants for CPR/First Aid training on the HSI platform on the 1st and 15th of each month. Once registered, Resource Parents will receive a confirmation email from info@hsi.com containing instructions and a link to access the course. They will have two weeks to complete the training. After finishing the course, Resource Parents will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate should be provided to the Foster Care Specialist, Kinship Navigator, or Adoption Specialist.
- Bloodborne Pathogens training will continue in its current format as an e‑learning module through IU Expand (Canvas).
