More than $4 million in U.S. Department of Justice grant funding is available to reimburse Indiana state and local governments for calendar year 2019 programs. Applications for more than $3 million in Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grants and more than $1.2 million in Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act Title II grant funding are due by Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) training will be held Oct. 22-23 at the Terre Haute Police Department. Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) instructor training will be held Dec. 10-14 and March 11-15, 2019 at the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Training Academy. SFST Instructor Refresher Training will be held Friday, Dec. 14 at the IMPD Training Academy. Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) School will be held March 11-22 and June 10-21, 2019 at the IMPD Training Academy with field certification occurring April 25-30, July 18-23 or July 21-26, 2019.
