Indiana Premise Registration

Since 2006, Indiana has required premises registration for all property sites associated with the sale, purchase or exhibition of the major food animal species. A premises identification number (or premID) is issued upon registration. Premises registration for rabbits is voluntary.

Premises registration provides BOAH with essential contact information (name, phone number, address) for livestock owners. That data is protected under state law, and can be accessed by BOAH during an animal health emergency to speed notification. Faster notification is essential to the rapid containment and control of disease.
