Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) is seeking IURC approval of a three-year energy efficiency plan (2026-2028) in IURC Cause No. 46255. The electronic case file includes all publicly filed documents and is available on the Commission's website.
I&M received Commission approval of its 2023-2025 plan in January 2023.
The OUCC, utility, and Citizens Action Coalition reached a settlement agreement under Cause No. 45701.
I&M's previous plan included settlement agreements approved in 2021. Settling parties included the OUCC, the City of South Bend, and Indiana Michigan Power.
In its order for the utility's 2017-2019 plan, the IURC approved a settlement agreement among the OUCC, I&M, industrial customers and the City of Fort Wayne.
Previous energy efficiency programs for I&M were approved in December 2014 and June 2016.
In the 2016 case, Cause No. 43827 - DSM 5, the OUCC recommended denial of I&M's request to recover lost revenues and shareholder incentives through rates. The IURC order denied shareholder incentives. It approved the recovery of lost revenues through customer rates, capping the recovery at a 4-year period.
The OUCC website offers an overview of energy efficiency cases including the agency's role.
