The Indiana Veterans' Home is located on 250+ wooded acres with entrances on Soldier's Home Road and State Road 43. Resident housing and activities are located on the circle drive and can be accessed from the "outer circle" or "inner circle".
Lincoln Building
The Lincoln Building was previously our domiciliary (independent living) building. Within it are four resident floors of single-occupancy rooms. The Lincoln basement houses a resident recreation room with TV lounge, games, and more.
Dewey Building
The Dewey Building houses the education department, recreation and volunteers, HR, the IVH Hill Clinic, and the West Lafayette VA Outpatient Clinic (Community-Based Outpatient Clinic), which is federally operated.
Pyle Building ("Ernie Pyle Hall")
The Pyle Building houses the 24/7 switchboard desk, administration offices, snack bar (grill), snack shop, beauty salon, and houses our independent living residents.
MacArthur Building
The MacArthur Building houses three comprehensive care floors for residents. Also in this building are the auditorium, Lawrie Library and resident media center, marketing office, pharmacy, physical therapy room and resident gym, x-ray room, resident lounge and game room, the chaplain's office, and the business office.
Mitchell Building
The Mitchell Building houses the resident dining hall, respiratory therapy, a comprehensive care admissions unit, and memory care units for residents with Alzheimer's and dementia. These floors were renovated in 2020 and reflect a homelike setting for our residents.
Other campus buildings include the Chapel, Maintenance Building, the Fire Station, Commissary, Power House, and the VFW Shelter, located on the inner circle.
