- What is the Indiana Transparency Portal (ITP)?
The Indiana Transparency Portal (ITP) was established by IC 5-14-3.5-2. It was launched in 2010 to provide the public with access to the financial data on state revenues and spending. The Site also offers information on state assets with an acquisition cost at or above $500, as well as, the annualized or hourly salary of state employees.
What’s new?
In 2018, the State Comptroller, Management Performance Hub (MPH), and the State Budget Agency (SBA) began to refresh the user experience utilizing more analytical tools. ITP is intended to provide easy access to financial information to the public.The types of new features the site offers include:
- Analytical tools that offer snapshots into data.
- Increased frequency of data updates
- Interactive graphics
- Data downloads of information
- Metadata or source information

- Who manages the ITP (Indiana Transparency Portal)?
Per IC 5-14-3.5-2 The State Comptroller shall post the data. The Comptroller works closely with its data partners, the Management Performance Hub (MPH) and the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT) in order to present the data in a user-friendly format.

- What is a fiscal year?
A fiscal year is an annual financial data reporting timeframe. The state operates on a fiscal year of July 1st through June 30th.

- What Fiscal Year data is available on the portal?
You can view the most current five fiscal years of data on the portal. Data going back to 2011 is available for download in a database on the Management Performance Hub (MPH) website here.

- How often does information on ITP (Indiana Transparency Portal) get updated?
- Monthly for Oracle PeopleSoft Financials
- Monthly, Annually, or Bi-Annually for SBA data
- Daily for PeopleSoft HR
- Annually for IFA/State Debt
- Bi-weekly for state employee salary information

- Why can’t I see the information on all mobile devices?
The Indiana Transparency Portal is best viewed on a PC or tablet. Mobile views are under construction and will be launched in later updates to the site.
