- Any dome light is inoperative
- Warning lights fail to operate correctly
- The front bumper does not extend to the edge of the fenders
- The front or rear bumper is not properly attached, missing, torn, loose, or altered.
- Wipers fail to function
- Any shock absorber is broken or missing
- Any crossmember is cracked or broken
- See Notes: Any defect inspector deems a violation not listed
- Both lamps are inoperative on high beam
- Both lamps are inoperative on low beam
- Mountings are broken or bent badly enough to inhibit proper adjustment
- Reflective glass is cracked, broken, or missing
- The latch does not secure the hood tightly
- Shackles are worn, loose, broken, cracked or missing
- āUā bolts are loose, broken, or missing
- Center bolt is loose, cracked, sheared or missing
- Any glass or glazing is broken through or missing
- Any glass or glazing is cracked, chipped, clouded or distorted badly enough to prohibit a clear view from within the bus
- Two (2) or more taillights or brake lights do not function (LED lights are considered non-functional if 50% or more pixels are inoperable in one light.)
- There are loose items that would create a hazard. (Broom, Scraper, Items on dash etc.)
- There are objects blocking aisles or exits
- Battery will not activate the starting motor
- Any front turn signal does not function properly
- A lens is cracked, missing or wrong color
- Any rear turn signal does not function properly
- The grill has any exposed edges that may cause injury
- There are any cracks in any steering component
- There is a severe leak from any point
- There are loose lines, fittings, or hoses
- Power steering unit leaks at any point
- Required back-up lights do not function.
- Tires are cut, weathered, cracked, have lumps, or breaks that expose the cord
- The strobe light is inoperative
- Rim or wheel discs have visible cracks, elongated bolt holes or any indication of repair by welding
- Any clearance light is missing, cracked, faded, wrong color, or inoperative
- There is body damage which could cause injury to persons near the bus (e.g. jagged metal edges, etc.)((Exigent circumstance can be taken into consideration to allow the bus to return home in a post crash inspection if bus is out of its district)).
- The bus body has loose, damaged or improperly aligned body parts. These would include rivets, bolts, and body panels and/or rub rails
- Any body surface protrudes beyond the normal limits of the body structure
- Any marker light or lens is missing, cracked, faded, wrong color, or inoperative
- Any stop arm light is inoperative
- Stop arm does not function properly
