Boone County Prosecutor - Kent T Eastwood

Assuming office in June of 2018, Kent T. Eastwood is the Boone County Prosecutor and represents the State in Indiana’s 20th Judicial Circuit. He began his stint at the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office in 2005 as a Deputy Prosecutor and was appointed Chief Deputy in 2011 by former Boone County Prosecutor Todd Meyer. Prior to serving in Boone County, Eastwood worked as a Deputy Prosecutor in the Major Felony Narcotics Unit for Marion County. In his 20 plus year career, Prosecutor Eastwood has successfully prosecuted practically every type and level of case from traffic tickets to murder. He received his undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University and his law degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

Prosecutor Eastwood is a member of the National District Attorney’s Association and the Boone County Bar Association, serving as the latter’s president in 2009-2010. He is a current member and past president of the Rotary Club of Lebanon and a graduate of the Boone County Leadership Program in 2017. Finally, Eastwood has devoted much of his time outside of the office to assisting local law enforcement agencies in training and education efforts. Prosecutor Eastwood is a frequent instructor for local law enforcement and the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council.
