Because each internship is uniquely tailored to individual interns and their divisions, no two interns’ day will look the same! On the same day that a public relations intern may be in the office drafting a press release, a geology intern may be visiting a quarry watching a blast, while a bridge inspection intern may be in the field inspecting bridges. Internship descriptions will give applicants a good idea of what their position entails, but no two internships at INDOT are ever the same!
Each year, INDOT offers a limited number of scholarships to engineering students who can make a lasting impact on Indiana’s infrastructure. Scholarship recipients receive $3,125 per semester and work in paid internships during the summer. After graduation, recipients receive priority hiring within the agency.
International students may apply for Governor’s Summer Intern positions, as long as they meet the program’s other requirements.
