Indiana Political Subdivision Risk Management Fund and the Indiana Political Subdivision Catastrophic Liability Fund Tort Claims Process
This commission runs the Indiana Political Subdivision Risk Management Fund and the Indiana Political Subdivision Catastrophic Liability Fund, which provides insurance of last resort to Indiana cities, counties, and other political subdivisions. Political subdivisions wishing to purchase insurance from the commission may do so through a licensed producer or directly from the commission.
NOTE: The Indiana Political Subdivision Risk Management Fund has had NO members since January 1, 2018. If your claim is from 2018 forward, the entity is not covered by the Indiana Political Subdivision Risk Management Fund.
IC 34-13-3-8 only requires service upon the Indiana Political Subdivision Risk Management Commission if the entity against whom the claim is being filed was a member of the Commission at the time of the loss.
