The Indiana State Archives has moved!

Over the summer, more than 80,000 cubic feet of archival records moved to our new location at 350 West Ohio Street.

Each container, including boxes, ledgers, microfilm reels, glass negatives, maps, and more, have been carefully placed on four floors of shelving in the new building.

The Indiana State Archives will be opening to the public on Friday, September 25th! Visitors will be able to explore our new space, which includes exhibits, reading room, and more. For more information about visiting, including how to park, please visit: IARA: Indiana State Archives.

Appointments are highly encouraged for conducting research, so that records can be retrieved prior to your visit.

Hours: Monday through Saturday: 9am to 4pm.

Reading Room Hours: Tuesday through Saturday: 9am to 4pm.
