The Indiana Department of Health's Immunization Division embraces the goals set forth in Healthy People 2030. Healthy People 2030 objectives include targets for reducing vaccine-preventable disease rates and increasing vaccine coverage. Part of the Healthy People 2030 goals is to use health information technology to track immunization status and improvement of knowledge on vaccine safety and adverse events, which aligns with the National Vaccine Plan. To reach these objectives, the Immunization Division will annually report the immunization rates by county.
The Immunization Division analyzed immunization rates for 19 - 35 months who have completion of the 4:3:1:3:3:1:4 series (4 doses of diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (DTaP), 3 doses of polio (IPV), 1 dose of measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR), 3 doses of haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib), 3 doses of hepatitis B (Hep B), 1 dose of varicella (VAR) and 4 doses of pneumococcal (PCV))
