Technical Review Panel
Overview
The Indiana Department of Health's Technical Review Panel (TRP) was established by the state legislature in 2019 to assist the department in the review and approval of new onsite sewage system treatment technologies. In 2023, the legislature added 2 additional duties, which include:
- The approval of additions and revisions to the state's residential onsite sewage systems rules (410 IAC 6-8.3).
- The review and approval of requirements in Local Health Department ordinances that are stricter or vary from the state's residential onsite sewage systems rules.
