The Governors’ History Site is maintained by the Indiana Commission on Public Records. The site was established in 2013 at the conclusion of Governor Mitch Daniels’ administration to provide easy public access to many of the records created during the Daniels administration.
The Commission on Public Records provides oversight for the records and information of Indiana’s state and local governments. Among its divisions is the Indiana State Archives which is responsible for maintaining the permanent records of Indiana state government, including the records of Governors.
