Monitoring practice fidelity, participant satisfaction, outcomes, and using the resulting information and feedback are part of the state's quality improvement processes for youth services. To ensure effective intensive community-based treatment is available for youth with serious emotional and behavioral health needs, the State routinely collects and analyzes outcomes data. The analysis of the data is used to determine the effectiveness of services and to identify the need for performance improvement.
Indiana System of Care development survey
To monitor progress in Indiana's developing system of care (SOC), that provides access to effective behavioral and mental health services for children and their families, a self-assessment of state-level and local SOCs is being conducted across Indiana starting March 15 through April of 2018 using the System of Care Implement Survey (SOCIS) tool.
A diverse array of survey respondents is sought to provide feedback and assist us in measuring our progress in developing collaboration, resources and SOC infrastructure at the state level and within local counties. The more responses we can receive the better. We are seeking individuals who know about state and/or local behavioral health services and supports. The voices of people in the following categories are needed to complete the SOCIS:
- Youth
- Families
- Schools
- Juvenile justice
- Child welfare
- Mental health treatment
- Substance use prevention treatment
- Primary health care
- Law enforcement
- Universities
- Advocates
- Faith-based community
- Other stakeholders (providing services/supports to youth and families)
