The Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs awards grants aimed at supporting veteran services with $1,250,000 awarded statewide through the Grants for Veterans' Services program

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA) proudly announces its continued commitment to Indiana's veteran community with the allocation of more than $1,250,000 in Grants for Veterans' Services (GVS). The grants have been awarded to 32 nonprofit organizations throughout the state, making a substantial investment in programs designed to support and serve our Indiana Veteran Community. These funds, administered through IDVA's GVS program, will support critical areas such as homelessness prevention, suicide prevention, therapeutic services, job training, job search assistance, and improved access to essential resources.

Jake Adams, IDVA Director, highlighted the program's impact by fortifying nonprofit organizations dedicated to veteran services. "The GVS program provides vital financial support to empower nonprofit organizations to deliver meaningful assistance to our veteran community," Adams affirmed. "This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to Indiana's veterans, family members, and veteran caregivers, perfectly aligning with IDVA's mission to Support, Serve, and Advocate for Indiana's veterans."

The selected organizations represent a diverse array of entities deeply committed to the well-being of Indiana's veteran Community:

Armed Services Arts Partnership; Dogs Helping Heroes; Dustin's Place; ECHO Housing; Families Forever; Fort Wayne 22; Family Service Association of Howard County; Goat Locker Racing; Goodwill Industries of Michiana; Haven for Healing; Heroes Wildlife Adventures; Hope Southern Indiana; HVAF; Indiana Legal Services; Indy Vet to Vet; InteCare; INVETS; Liberty Place; Lafayette Transitional Housing Center; Mustang Adoption Academy; NAMI Indiana; Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic; NeighborLink Fort Wayne; Pets Healing Vets; Randolph County Veterans Shelter; REBOOT Recovery; StRides Against Suicide & Overdose; Turnstone Center for Children and Adults with Disabilities; Veteran Impact Services; Veterans Changing Services; Wingmen, Shipmates, and Battle Buddies; and YMCA of Greater Indianapolis.
