If you wish to be appointed by a court to serve as a GAL to represent and protect the best interests of a child in a civil family law case, you must meet the qualifications and take the training outlined in the GAL Guidelines and be included in the GAL Registry.
A statewide registry of qualified GALs is under development and will be maintained by the State Office of GAL/CASA and the GAL Family Law Oversight Committee.
People qualified to serve who are approved by the GAL Family Law Oversight Committee will be added to the GAL Registry when all necessary steps in the application process are completed. Judicial officers, attorneys, and the public will have access to the GAL Registry.
If you are a GAL listed in the Registry and need to change the information listed, please contact us.
