The Treasurer’s Conservation Assistance Program (T-CAP) was established to provide assistance to Hoosier farmers who suffered damages to their farmlands due to the 2008 flooding throughout the state.   

The program was discontinued in 2009.

 

UNTIED STATES DEPART OF AGRICULTURE
       (USDA Conservation Programs)

Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)
       Implement structural and management practices for
       conservation purposes
       No less than 50% of project paid for by federal government

Conservation Reserved Enhanced Program (CREP)
       Land retirement, helps decrease erosion and safeguard ground
       Up to 90% of project paid for by the federal government

Conservation Reserve Program (CRP)
       Land retirement, helps decrease erosion and safeguard ground
       Up to 90% of the project paid for by the federal government

Emergency Conservation Program (ECP)
     
 Rehabilitate farmland damaged by natural disasters
     
 Up to 75% of the project paid for by the federal government

Emergency Watershed Protection Program (EWP)
      
  Debris removal from waterways, restoring vegetation, 
        stabilizing river banks
        Up to 75% of the project paid for by the federal government

Rates:

CD Rate was 0.50%
 Farmer's rate was 2.75%
CD rate =(Fed fund rate – 1.50% or 150 bps) (minimum of 0.50%)
Farmers rate = (CD rate + 2.25% or 225 bps) (minimum of 2.75%)
