Looking to become a licensed salvage dealer in the state of Indiana? Just follow the steps below and you will be on your way!

Step 1 - Important legal review

We encourage those wanting to obtain their salvage dealer license in the state of Indiana to review the state laws and codes regarding dealer licensing. Please, read Indiana code 9-22-4 before moving on to Step 2.

Step 2 - Completing the application

Below are the steps to successfully complete the application to become a licensed salvage dealer in the state of Indiana. In order to achieve superior service, accuracy and cost savings, please read the application and fill it out completely.

  • Insurance (Certificate of Liability)
  • Copy of Valid Photo ID issued by a government agency
  • Registered retail merchant certificate
  • Please provide federal ID number with documentation from Internal Revenue Service
  • Copy of Articles of Incorporation or Certificate of Organization from the Indiana Secretary of State’s Business Services Division

Step 3 - Sign, seal and mail!

Once you complete all of the steps and ensure all paperwork is filled out correctly, send your documents to the following address:
