East Chicago's municipal water utility sought approval of new rates in IURC Cause No. 45827.

The utility has requested changes to the IURC's Aug. 16, 2023 order. IURC has opened a subdocket in the rate case and the utility is expected to file testimony on July 3, 2024. The OUCC anticipates filing testimony in response on Aug. 2, 2024.

The Commission's Aug. 16, 2023 order approved a settlement agreement between the OUCC and the City of East Chicago. The OUCC filed settlement testimony on May 3, 2023. The agreement is attached to the city's settlement testimony, starting on PDF page 13.
