Substitute Natural Gas Project - Spencer County

The Indiana Finance Authority (IFA) and Indiana Gasification, LLC requested Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) approval of a 30-year purchase agreement for substitute natural gas (SNG) - to be produced at a proposed facility in Spencer County, Indiana - in Cause No. 43976.

The contract was approved in a November 2011 IURC order.

All documents filed with the IURC in this case are available by clicking here and entering Cause Number 43976.

The Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC) filed testimony with the Commission in March 2011 and cross-answering testimony in April 2011. A number of intervening parties also filed on the same dates.

IURC public field hearings in this case were held in April 2011 in West Lafayette, Jasper and Indianapolis.
