About the Best Books of Indiana

The Best Books of Indiana contest was held from 2005 until 2012 to honor Indiana's long and illustrious literary heritage and recognize Hoosier authors. All current and past Best Books of Indiana entries are available in the Indiana State Library's collections. One copy of each contest entry circulates to State Library patrons and is available via interlibrary loan to all Hoosiers at their local public, school or academic libraries. One copy does not circulate and remains in the State Library's collections indefinitely.

The Indiana Center for the Book strongly encourages Hoosier authors to seek nomination in the Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award.
