Borrower's Cards - Any Indiana resident is eligible for a borrower's card from the Indiana State Library.

Federal Documents- As Indiana’s Regional Federal Depository we collect all items within the Government Printing Office’s federal depository program.

Genealogy Collections - One of the largest collections of family history information is available in the Indiana State Library.

Indiana Collections -  One of the largest and broadest collections of books, maps, newspapers, manuscripts, and more on Indiana.

Interlibrary Loan - If you cannot visit in person circulating items may be borrowed through your local public, academic or special library. Contact your local public library for information.

Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped - The Special Services Division provides books on tape, Braille books, and large print books to Indiana's citizens with visual or physical impairments.

Manuscripts & Rare Books - Holds over 3 million manuscripts, dating from the earliest years of the state through contemporary times, from over 4,400 different collections. 

References services - Offers reference services via Chat, email, telephone, or just come by the second-floor Reference Desk.

State Data Center - Collects federal, state and local level statistical resources for Indiana and offer assistance navigating online and print Census Bureau data, both historic and current.

State Documents - Includes reports, historical materials, studies, statistics published by Indiana state agencies.

Subject Guides to Collections - Lists of books, manuscripts, and other materials available on particular topics related to Indiana, ranging from basketball to World War II.

Tours of the Indiana State Library - Arrange for a special tour for your organization, class, or group or attend a tour of the Indiana State Library.

Video Tutorials - Learn how to operate microfilmers and other research hardware and get tips to enhance your historical research.

It is the policy of the Indiana Library and Historical Board to make the services, facilities, programs, and accommodations of the Indiana State Library accessible to all Indiana citizens, including those who have disabilities.
