Swearing In Ceremony

The Indiana Supreme Court and the Indiana Commission on Race and Gender Fairness hosted a Swearing In Ceremony for the state's newest certified interpreters on December 5, 2014.  For the first time, since the inception of the Court Interpreter Program, the Indiana Supreme Court introduced a new level of interpreters designated as Qualified Interpreters.  This designation is for interpreters in which no oral exam exists.  Four Qualified Interpreters in American Sign Language, Thai, and a Certified Deaf Interpreter along with 16 other Certified Interpreters were sworn in.
