Today the Indiana
Utility Regulatory Commission approved a refund proposed by Indianapolis Power
and Light.
The Company will
compensate customers who were without power for more than 48 hours after the
July 8th storms.� The $100
payments to customers will be in the form of a credit to the customer�s
electric bill or a check, at the utility�s discretion.�
The company assured
the Commission that the money for the payments will not come from ratepayer
funds, either now or in the future.���
The first payments
will be made in 60-days.�
The IURC�s
investigation into the company�s response to the July 8th storm will
continue.
