Today the Indiana
Utility Regulatory Commission approved a settlement agreement between Sugar
Creek Utility Company and the Office of the Indiana Utility Consumer Counselor
that will reduce rates for the utility�s customers.
In Cause Numbers
41913 and 41881, the Commissioners unanimously approved a plan that will lower
the cost of service from $80.84 a month to $65.00 a month for a period of two
years, beginning July 1, 2001.��
Thereafter, the charges can be raised to a rate of $69.00.
Sugar Creek Utility
Company provides drinking water and sewage disposal service to Heartland Resort
and Riley Village in rural Hancock County.
